Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
