The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
