We created man out of dry clay, from moulded mud, 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 Allah said: "Then, verily, you are of those reprieved, 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
