The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
