The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
