Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 As to what they did. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
