Hizb 28
< random >
۞ And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid. 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, 54 showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 and when any of them is given the good tidings of a girl, his face is darkened and he chokes inwardly, 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 60
