Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 And of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. These! for them shall be a torment ignominious. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 [As against this,] verily, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall have gardens of bliss, 8 wherein they will abide forever. That is God's true promise; He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 9 He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
