Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
