The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
