VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 And tell them about Abraham's guests. 51 When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." 52 They said, "Do not be afraid. We come to you with good news. You shall have a son who shall be endowed with great knowledge." 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 He said, "No one despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are in error. 56 Messengers, what is your task?" 57 They said: verily we have been sent unto a people guilty 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 "Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)." 60
