Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
