And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have wrought, and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults). 30 You cannot frustrate Him in the earth; you have no protector nor helper against Allah. 31 And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains. 32 If He pleases, He causes the wind to become still so that they lie motionless on its back; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one, 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 He knows all those who dispute His revelations. They will find no way to escape from (His torment). 35 Whatever thing you have been given is the enjoyment of the present life; but what is with God is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 and when harmed they become victorious. 39 And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 blame falls only on those who wrong men and transgress on this earth without justification, such will have a painful punishment, 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43
