AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About their deeds. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
