1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
