Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
