▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In a book that is protected 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
