Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About the criminals, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
