Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
