Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
