The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 They do not expect any reward 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
