O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
