Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
