The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ What do they quarrel about? 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 They will indeed come to know soon. 5 Did We not make the earth a spreading, 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 and We made your sleep a rest, 9 And made the night as a covering, 10 And made the day for livelihood 11 Have We not made seven strong heavens above you, 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly, 14 that We may bring forth with it grain, plants 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Truly, Hell is a place of ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 therein to tarry for ages, 23 They will neither taste anything cool in it, nor anything to drink. 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds), 27 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
