The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
