Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
