And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
