The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 and exalt your Lord, 3 and purify your clothing, 4 And all defilement shun! 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 and persevere for your Lord's sake. 7 For when the trumpet shall sound, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 For the unbelievers, anything but easy. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 And then granted him resources in abundance. 12 And children to be by his side! 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 then he is eager that I should do more. 15 Never. He is refractory of Our signs. 16 I shall inflict on him hardship, 17 For he had thought and calculated. 18 So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 Then looked he, 21 Then frowned and grimaced. 22 Then he turned back and was arrogant 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It shall not spare, nor leave. 28 scorching the flesh; 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. 31
