The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
