Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 until you visit the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
