The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said: Lo! this is some knowing wizard, 109 who seeks to drive you from your land what do you command' 110 Others said: 'Put them off a while, he and his brother, and send forth to your cities gatherers 111 That they may bring to thee every magician knowing. 112 And the magicians came unto Fir'awn. They said: surely there is for us a reward if we are the overcomers. 113 Answered [Pharaoh]: "Yes; and verily, you shall be among those who are near unto me." 114 They said, 'Moses, wilt thou cast, or shall we be the casters?' 115 He said, 'You cast.' And when they cast they put a Spell upon the people's eyes, and called forth fear of them, and produced a mighty sorcery. 116 And We inspired Moses (saying): Throw thy staff! And lo! it swallowed up their lying show. 117 ۞ Thus was the truth established, and their doings proved in vain. 118 And thus were they vanquished there and then, and became utterly humiliated. 119 and the sorcerers prostrated themselves, 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 The Lord of Musa and Harun. 122 Pharaoh said: Ye believe in Him before I give you leave! Lo! this is the plot that ye have plotted in the city that ye may drive its people hence. But ye shall come to know! 123 I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides; then I will surely crucify you all." 124 They said: "For us, We are but sent back unto our Lord: 125 You would punish us only because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they were shown to us. Our Lord, pour patience upon us, and cause us to die in a state of submission to You." 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
