No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
