The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 And We made similar vessels for them to ride. 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They also say: 'When will this promise be, if what you say is true' 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
