3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
