It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 (It is) a Book We have revealed to you abounding in good that they may ponder over its verses, and that those endowed with understanding may be mindful. 29 And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah). 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks. 33 And We did try Solomon: We placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to Us in true devotion): 34 He said: My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me sovereignty such as shall not belong to any after me. Lo! Thou art the Bestower. 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 And made the demons subservient to him, all builders and divers. 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 "This is Our gift," (We said to him), "so bestow freely or withhold without reckoning." 39 And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return. 40
