By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 Warn the men. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
