Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
