The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
