Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 where they shall live for ever. The promise of Allah is the truth; He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
