▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10

And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. 59 And prepare against them what force you can and horses tied at the frontier, to frighten thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them, whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them; and whatever thing you will spend in Allah's way, it will be paid back to you fully and you shall not be dealt with unjustly. 60 ۞ Then if they should be inclined to make peace, make peace with them, and put your trust in God. Surely, it is He who is All Hearing and All Knowing. 61 If they want to deceive you, God is All-sufficient for you. It is God who supported you with His own help and with that of the believers, 62 And (moreover) He hath put affection between their hearts: not if thou hadst spent all that is in the earth, couldst thou have produced that affection, but Allah hath done it: for He is Exalted in might, Wise. 63 O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and (for) such of the believers as follow you. 64
