۞ And Allah hath said: take not two gods; He is only One God so Me alone, Me dread. 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. God's retribution is severe. Should you then have fear of anyone other than God? 52 Whatsoever the blessings you enjoy are surely from God, and when in trouble you turn to Him in supplication. 53 Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; 54 So that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know 55 And they appoint for that which they knew not a portion of that wherewith We have provided them. By Allah! ye will surely be questioned regarding that which ye have been fabricating. 56 They attribute daughters to God, the glorious, but for themselves whatsoever they please. 57 And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. 58 avoiding all people because of the [alleged] evil of the glad tiding which he has received, [and debating within himself:] Shall he keep this [child] despite the contempt [which he feels for it] - or shall he bury it in the dust? Old, evil indeed is whatever they decide! 59 The attribute of evil applies to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while to God applies the highest attribute, for He is Mighty, the Wise. 60
