Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
