Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
