The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
