O People who Believe! Obey Allah and His Noble Messenger, and do not turn away from him after you have heard him speak. 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ Verily, the vilest of all creatures in the sight of God are those deaf, those dumb ones who do not use their reason. 22 If God had found any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear; but being as they are, even if He makes them hear, they will turn away in aversion. 23 O believers, respond to the call of God and His Prophet when he calls you to what will give you life (and preservation). Remember that God intervenes between man and his heart, and that you will be gathered before Him. 24 And fear tumult or oppression, which affecteth not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong: and know that Allah is strict in punishment. 25 And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful. 26 O People who Believe! Do not betray Allah and His Noble Messenger, nor purposely defraud your trusts. 27 And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward. 28
