The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 Such are the inheritors 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
