▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
