Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
