Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
