Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
